The Davis Avenue Bridge was a priority residents identified back in 2013. Now it’s open, reconnecting Brighton Heights to Riverview Park.

Recently, CBS Pittsburgh featured a story about a local run club taking advantage of the bridge. Beyond the physical connection, the story highlighted the true strength of Northside: neighbors looking out for one another and making a community feel like home.

Projects like this remind us that infrastructure isn’t just about concrete and steel. It’s about people, relationships, and neighborhoods coming back together. Strengthening existing connections and re-establishing old ones makes our community stronger, healthier, and more vibrant. A reminder that progress doesn’t always happen overnight.
