Learn & Earn Summer Youth Employment Program (2026)

Applications are now open for the Learn & Earn Summer Youth Employment Program, an opportunity for young people across Allegheny County to gain real-world work experience, develop new skills, and earn income this summer.

Program Overview

The Learn & Earn program, led by Partner4Work in partnership with Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh, connects young people ages 14–23 with meaningful employment and career exploration opportunities.

Workplace learning is a key step toward long-term success—and this program is designed to help participants build confidence, gain exposure to different career paths, and develop skills that last beyond the summer.

Who Can Apply?

• Ages 14–23
• Residents of Allegheny County
• Priority given to low-income young adults

A completed application does not guarantee placement. Early application is strongly encouraged.

Important Dates

• Application Period: March 2 – June 5, 2026
• Youth Placements: April 1 – July 2, 2026
• Program Dates:
  • Tier 1 & 2: June 22 – August 7, 2026
  • Tier 3: June 1 – August 31, 2026
• Orientation: Scheduled by program providers
