Helping Northsiders enjoy their community spaces.

Unlike other major cities, Northside's neighborhoods are filled with lush green spaces. These places help connect us to nature, make memories with our families and just enjoy the fresh air. They also protect us and our environment by filtering stormwater, lowering our stress levels, cleaning our air and providing a natural sanctuary for wildlife.

Hard at work.

The Pittsburgh Park Conservancy safeguard, operate and have restored more than twenty iconic spaces and structures across our city, including the Flagstaff Hill Woodland Garden, the Valley Refuge Shelter at Riverview Park and the North Promenade in Allegheny Commons Park. And they do so much more by fundraising, hosting events and offering free educational programs to children and adults.

We need to help create and maintain those natural gathering spaces on the Northside. Because in cities, nature manifests itself in parks and nature is part of the human experience.
